Crochet Block

I still consider myself new to the crochet. I've started to do it as some kind of therapy. Wanted to prove to myself that I can make something with my hands and I needed something different in my life as opposed to the everyday rat race.

I have picked up some books and Simply Crochet magazines and off I went.  Often almost finishing a project before finding a "I get it now", taking it all apart and starting again. Most of my projects were from the above mentioned magazine.

I have done a few more and upload the pics as time goes by.

HELLO CROCHET WORLD

HELLO

I wanted to start in January, but I worried too much....
Will anyone read this, is my camera good enough, is my material interesting? And than I realised that it doesn't matter. It is for me, for my own pleasure, and if anyone else likes my writing that is just a bonus. So here we go.....

I love the smell of hyacinths in bloom. I have noticed that most of the ones in the shops are now blooming, just like mine. You walk through an isle and the smell hits you before you spot them. It is a bit of a magic.

I love crochet. The trouble with me is that I do more "research" than work. So after some messing and making what seems like hundreds of flowers, I have  made my first cowl. It is from one of the earlier Simply crochet magazines And I love the fact that it can be worn as a short poncho. Using a big hook and a chunky yarn, it worked really quickly and was a great boost of confidence.
